Terms of Service

By creating an account or using UpCircle you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

UpCircle is a digital platform that helps groups of people organize and track rotating savings circles (ROSCAs). We provide coordination tools, payment tracking, and trust scores. We are not a bank, financial institution, or licensed money transmitter.

• You must be 18 or older to create an account
• You must provide accurate information
• You are responsible for your account security
• One account per person
• We may suspend accounts that violate these terms

• Circle admins are responsible for managing their circle and its members
• Members agree to contribute on time each round
• Members who receive their payout must continue contributing for all remaining rounds
• Leaving a circle after receiving a payout is a violation of these terms
• UpCircle is not responsible for disputes between circle members

• All digital payments are processed by Stripe
• Stripe fees apply to digital transactions
• UpCircle does not guarantee payment collection
• Manual payments can be recorded by circle admins
• Refunds are subject to Stripe's refund policy

• Trust scores are calculated based on payment behavior within the platform
• On-time payments increase your trust score
• Late or missed payments decrease your score
• Trust scores are visible to circle members
• UpCircle reserves the right to adjust the trust score algorithm at any time

Users may not:

• Provide false identity information
• Use the platform for money laundering or illegal financial activity
• Attempt to defraud other circle members
• Harass or threaten other users
• Attempt to hack or disrupt the platform
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate trust scores

• UpCircle is a coordination tool only
• We are not liable for losses due to member defaults or fraud between users
• We are not liable for Stripe payment failures
• We are not liable for missed payouts caused by technical issues beyond our control
• Use the platform at your own risk

UpCircle is not a bank, credit union, or licensed financial institution. We do not provide financial advice. Savings circles involve real money and real risk. Always save with people you trust.

• You may delete your account at any time
• We may terminate accounts that violate these terms
• Outstanding debts to circle members remain after account deletion

• We may update these terms at any time
• We will notify users of significant changes
• Continued use means acceptance of new terms

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in US courts.
